Qualification Overview
The Focus Awards Level 1 Award in Health and Safety at Work (RQF) is aimed at anyone within a work environment, whether that’s a learner on work experience or someone starting work.
The Focus Awards provides individuals with basic knowledge of health and safety in the workplace, ensuring the individual adopts methods to keep themselves and others safe and also to help them to identify potential workplace hazards.
Qualification Structure
Learners must achieve a total of 1 credit from the single mandatory unit.

Progression Routes
Learners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake the following qualifications:
- Focus Awards Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 1 Award in Health and Safety at Work (RQF)
Age Ranges
Entry is at the discretion of the centre; however, learners should be at least 14 years old to undertake this qualification.
