Funding

For centres that are interested in delivering funded qualifications, or are already doing so, it is important to stay up to date with qualification information provided by the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

The ESFA brings together the former responsibilities of the Education Funding Agency (EFA) and Skills Funding Agency (SFA) to create a single agency accountable for funding education and skills for children, young people and adults.

ESFA is an executive agency, sponsored by the Department for Education.

Qualifications that are approved for funding, allow students to undertake qualifications through different funding offers and streams.

There are different types of funding that can be offered by the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

  • Young People’s Funding
  • Adult Education Budget
  • Advanced Learner Loans
  • European Social Fund

Centres that want to apply for funding, will need to seek guidance from the Education and Skills Funding Agency, they hold the authority and responsibility to apply funding to qualifications.

Whilst we’d hope all Focus Awards Qualifications are funded, we cannot guarantee funding will be applied to a qualification.
