Qualification Overview

The Focus Awards Level 1 Award in Coaching Weight Lifting (RQF) is aimed at those who are new to coaching, but who have some knowledge of Weightlifting and would like to learn how to apply that in a coaching environment. The qualification will provide learners with an introduction to the processes and principles of coaching Weighlifting to adults and children.

Qualification Structure

In order to successfully achieve the Focus Awards Level 1 Award in Coaching Weight Lifting (RQF), learners must complete the two mandatory units totalling 3 credits.

Learner Entry Requirements

Focus Awards do not set any other entry requirements for the qualification; however, other requirements may be required by the centre.

Learners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake the following qualifications:

Age Ranges

Learners should be a minimum of 16 years old to undertake this qualification.

Geographical Coverage

This qualification has been accredited for use in England and Northern Ireland.
