Qualification Overview
The aim of the Focus Awards Level 2 Award in Weight Lifting is to give learners the knowledge to be able to warm up and cool down for Weight Lifting effectively, to prepare and maintain a safe lifting environment, and to perform specified Weight Lifting techniques. This qualification is aimed at those learners that want to improve their Weight Lifting.Qualification Structure
In order to successfully achieve the Focus Awards Level 2 Award in Weight Lifting (RQF) learners must complete the mandatory unit totalling 1 credit.Learner Entry Requirements
Learners should be competent in literacy and numeracy to help with elements of communication. This is at the discretion of the centre as they may decide to use diagnostic testing methods to ascertain how they can support learners.Progression Routes
Learners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake the following qualifications:- Focus Awards Level 3 Award for British Weight Lifting Technical Officials (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 2 Award in Teaching Olympic Weightlifting in Schools (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Weight Training (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 2 Award in Instructing Weight Training (RQF)
Age Ranges
Entry is at the discretion of the centre; however, learners should be at least 16 of age to undertake this qualification.Geographical Coverage
