Qualification Overview

The Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning (RQF) aims to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of the active leisure sector as a whole and also their rights and responsibilities within their own organisation. The Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning (RQF) is aimed at those learners who work, or intend to work, within the active leisure sector and those wishing to further develop their knowledge and understanding of employee’s rights and responsibilities within the sector. The qualification is also aimed at those learners who are undertaking an advanced apprenticeship for any of the active leisure and learning pathways.

Qualification Structure

To complete the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning (RQF) learners are required to complete 3 mandatory units achieving a total of 8 credits.

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification.

Progression Routes

The Level 3 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning also offers learners the opportunity to move onto one of the following:

• Focus Awards Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training
• Focus Awards Level 3 Diploma in Leisure Management
• Focus Awards Level 3 Certificate in Leisure Management

Age Ranges

Entry is at the discretion of the centre; however, learners should be a minimum of 16 years old to undertake this qualification.

Geographical Coverage

This qualification has been accredited for use in England and Northern Ireland.
