Qualification Overview

The Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) is aimed at learners working in Childcare settings and for those with responsibility for caring for infants and children who are wishing to become a paediatric first- aider. The aim of the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) is to develop learner’s knowledge, understanding and skills of paediatric first aid specifically in providing first aid for an infant or child who is unresponsive and breathing normally, head and spinal injuries, an infant or child who has sustained an electric shock and how to complete records relating to illness, injuries and emergencies.

Qualification Structure

In order to achieve the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) learners must complete the two mandatory units.
