Qualification Overview
The Focus Awards Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) aims to develop learners’ knowledge, understanding, and skills of first aid at work. The qualification will provide learners with the opportunity to administer first aid procedures in the workplace by becoming a qualified first aider.
The Focus Awards Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) meets the Health and Safety Executive (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 in respect of First Aid at Work and is aimed at those who work, or intend to work, for a range of organisations. All employers are required by law to have a First Aid provision for their employees.
In achieving the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF), all learners will cover essentials of First Aid, including roles and responsibilities, incident assessment, and managing and administering First Aid to casualties in a variety of situations. These situations could relate to breathing, chocking, bleeding, shock, and minor injuries as well as casualties with sudden poisoning, anaphylaxis, and suspected major illness.

In order to achieve the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) Learners must complete 2 mandatory units.

Entry is at the discretion of the centre; however, learners should be at least 16 yeras old to undertake this qualification.
