Qualification Overview

The Focus Awards Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (RQF) is aimed at those learners who have little or no prior counselling experience and wish to start working towards becoming a qualified counsellor. Potential job roles on completion might include key working, care assistants, support working or teaching assistant. The qualification will provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required in using a range of counselling skills, as well as being able to identify the key factors of the ethical framework and anti-discriminatory practices

Qualification Structure

Learners must complete all 4 mandatory units to achieve 16 credits.

Focus Awards does not set any other entry requirements, but additional criteria may be requested or specified by the centre.

Age Ranges:

Entry is at the discretion of the centre. However, learners should be aged 16 to undertake this qualification.
