Qualification OverviewThe Focus Awards Level 3 Certificate in Working in the Health Sector (RQF) qualification is intended to meet the core requirements for all staff working in the NHS. The Focus Awards Level 3 Certificate in Working in the Health Sector (RQF) forms the basis of the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework specifically the 6 KSF Care Dimensions that all new NHS staff need to complete, including:
- Health, safety and security;
- Service improvement;
- Equality and diversity;
- Personal and people development.
Qualification StructureIn order to successfully achieve this qualification, learners must achieve a total of 18 credits from six mandatory units.

Progression RoutesLearners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake the following qualifications:
- Focus Awards Level 2 Diploma In Care (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 3 Diploma In Adult Care (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 4 Diploma In Adult Care (RQF)
Age RangesEntry is at the discretion of the centre; however, learners must be at least 16 old to undertake this qualification.
