Qualification Overview

The aim of the Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Delivering Exercise Sessions to Clients with Low Back Pain (RQF) is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to safety and effectively deliver exercise programmes to clients with lower back pain. Upon successful completion learners will be able to plan, deliver and adapt exercise programmes in line with client needs.

Qualification Structure

In order to successfully achieve the Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Delivering Exercise Sessions to Clients with Low Back Pain (RQF) learners must complete all mandatory units totalling 18 credits.

Learner entry requirements

Learners must hold a Level 3 Personal Training qualification or equivalent. Focus Awards does not set any other entry requirements, but additional criteria may be requested or specified by the centre.

Learners seeking progress from this qualification can advance their skills further through the following:
  • British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR) Specialist Exercise Instructor Level 4 Cardiac Qualification
  • Level 4 Certificate in Cancer Rehabilitation
  • Level 4 Award in Long Term Neurological Conditions

Age Ranges

Entry is at the discretion of the centre. However, learners should be aged 16 to undertake this qualification.
