Qualification Overview

The Focus Awards Level 3 Diploma in Body Piercing (RQF) is aimed at learners who wish to work in a piercing studio. The qualification aims to develop knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and skills in safe working practices, and how to conduct various body piercings.

Qualification Structure

To achieve the Focus Awards Level 3 Diploma in Body Piercings (RQF), learners must achieve 50 credits.  Learners must complete 7 mandatory units to achieve 44 credits and a minimum of 6 credits from the optional units.

Focus Awards does not set any other entry requirements, but the centre may request or specify additional criteria.

Progression routes

Learners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake the following qualifications:

• Focus Awards Level 4 Award in Facial Anatomy and Physiology (RQF)Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Skin Needling Treatments (RQF)

Age Ranges

Entry is at the discretion of the centre. However, learners should be aged 18 to undertake this qualification.
