Qualification Overview

The Focus Awards Level 5 Diploma in Massage Therapy for Sports (RQF) is designed to develop the knowledge and skills required to work in a sports massage role.  The qualification covers anatomy and physiology, complex massage and therapy techniques, evaluating client posture and gait, electrical and repair stimulator techniques, and sports injury rehabilitation.

Qualification Structure

To achieve the Focus Awards Level 5 Diploma in Massage Therapy for Sports (RQF), learners are required to complete 7 mandatory units, achieving 44 credits.

Learner Entry Requirements

Learners are required to hold a relevant Level 3 and / or Level 4 Sports Massage qualification, or equivalent.

Progression Routes

Learners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake further Higher Education study.

Age Ranges

Entry is at the discretion of the centre; however, learners should be at least 18 years of age to undertake this qualification.
