Qualification Overview:
The aim of the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Understanding Women’s Health and the Menopause (RQF) is to develop learner knowledge and understanding of the effects that hormonal changes which occur during menopause, have on lifestyle. Learners will be able to plan and deliver exercise sessions to support women in this stage of their lives.
Qualification Structure:
To successfully complete the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Understanding Women’s Health and the Menopause (RQF) learners must complete 3 mandatory units.
Learner Entry Requirements:
Learners must have completed a qualification to support their ability to understand the principles of teaching and programming such as:
- Level 2 Group Exercise Instructor: this could include Exercise to Music, Pilates, Yoga, or Gym Instructor
- Level 3 Personal Training

Learners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake the following qualifications:

- Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Developing Physical Activity and Weight Management Strategies for Diabetic Clients (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Nutrition for Weight Management and Athletic Performance (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Physical Activity and Lifestyle Strategies for Managing Low Back Pain (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate for Advanced Personal Trainers (RQF)
Age Ranges:
Entry is at the discretion of the centre. However, learners should be aged 18 to undertake this qualification.
