Qualification Overview
The aim of the Focus Awards Level 2 Award in the Art of Dressing Hair and Photographic Make-up (RQF) is to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of the art of dressing hair and photographic make-up. The qualification will provide the learner with the required skills to provide services of dressing hair and photographic make-up. Learners will understand how to follow salon health and safety as well as how to adapt the provision of client care and their communication skills to the needs of different clients.
Qualification Structure
To achieve this qualification, the learner must complete all mandatory units, achieving a total of 15 credits.

Progression Routes
Learners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake the following qualifications:
- Focus Awards Level 3 Diploma in Bridal Hair and Make-up (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 3 Certificate in Fashion and Photographic Make Up (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Applying Airbrush Make-up (RQF)
Age Ranges
Entry is at the discretion of the centre; however, learners should be at least 16 years old to undertake this qualification.

This qualification has been accredited for use in England and Northern Ireland.
