Qualification Overview
The Focus Awards Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Nail Services (RQF) is aimed at learners aged 16 or over who want to gain employment as a nail technician. This qualification will confirm knowledge and competence required of the role, covering all the elements required to work effectively as a nail technician, including enhance and maintain nails using UV gel, liquid, and powder. The optional units cover specialist areas including electric files, wraps, and promoting products. Learners will also develop knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care, and nail product knowledge.
Qualification Structure
To successfully achieve the Focus Awards Level 3 NVQ in Diploma in Nail Services (RQF) learners must complete all the mandatory units and at least 24 credits from the optional units with an overall total of 48 credits.
Learner Entry Requirements
A learner must have previously completed a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy, other than this Focus Awards do not set any other entry requirements for the qualification; however, other requirements may be required by the centre.

Learners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake the following qualifications:
Age Ranges
Entry is at the discretion of the centre; however, learners should be at least 16 years old to undertake this qualification.
Please note that 16 to 18 year-olds may need to be supervised in the workplace, once they have achieved the qualification
