Qualification OverviewThe Focus Awards Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Active Leisure, Learning, and Well-Being Operational Services (RQF) is aimed at those learners working in a sport activity environment who work with other staff and customers, and for staff who use and maintain equipment and facilities, including caravan parks. This qualification will provide learners with the necessary skills, knowledge, and competence across areas such as health and safety, supporting teams, providing good customer service, and using/maintaining activity equipment.
Qualification StructureTo achieve this qualification, learners must complete the following 4 mandatory units and gain 7 credits from the list of optional units.
Learner Entry RequirementsThe qualification requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential, therefore a degree of physical fitness is necessary. There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading, and writing) and application of number involved, so learners should have basic skills in communication and numeracy at Levels 3 and 2 respectively.
Progression RoutesLearners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake the following qualifications or any qualification at Level 3 within the sector:
- Focus Awards Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 3 Diploma Specialist in Personal Training (RQF)
- Focus Awards Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Leisure Management (RQF)
Age RangesEntry is at the discretion of the centre; however, learners should be a minium of 16 years old to undertake the qualification.
