STUDYING OUR QUALIFICATIONS

What are RQF Qualifications?

The RQF is a national framework regulated by Ofqual on behalf of the government. What this means in practice is that RQF qualifications have been developed by subject matter experts to a National Occupational Standard (NOS). These standards help employers, schools, colleges, and learning providers to meet their users’ needs.

Because of this consultation and collaboration during development, and the strict adherence to prescribed criteria, RQF qualifications are usually recognised nationally.

RQF Qualifications result from successful completion of training programmes set at a level between Entry-Level (Level 1) and Level 8. They are made up of units, each of which has both a level and a credit value. For each level there are three types of qualification based on the number of credits allocated: Awards (1 to 12 credits), Certificates (13 to 36 credits) and Diplomas (37+ credits). These are listed on the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF).

Ofqual has approved Focus Awards to offer qualifications to the general public in a range of business sectors.

What are FQP Qualifications?

Our Focus on Quality Provision (FQP) Scheme provides Quality Assurance to a training providers’ bespoke, or CPD, qualifications. Qualifications endorsed under the FQP Scheme result in a ‘Focus Awards Certificate of Achievement’ being awarded on successful completion which will specify the subject matter studied.
