How to become an approved centre with Focus Awards?

Focus Awards is an awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual who are the regulator of qualifications (other than degrees), exams and assessments in England, and vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland.

As a national Awarding Organisation we develop qualifications in a broad range of subject matter areas and sectors for the regulated market. We are also able to quality assure and endorse an organisation’s own non-regulated qualifications.

Our qualifications, many of which are listed on the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF), are nationally recognised and regulated by Ofqual. Additionally, our Focus on Quality Provision (FQP) Licensing Scheme can give Approved Centres the freedom to develop bespoke qualifications that meet the needs and requirements of their own learners.

If your business is interested in applying to become an approved centre with the awarding organisation Focus Awards, simply fill out the Focus awards interest form. Once the form has been completed and reviewed, a member of the Focus Awards centre support team will be in contact to arrange a telephone call to fill out the application form.

As part of the application process, you will need to provide copies of the certificates and CVs for all the staff who will be involved in the assessment, delivery, and internal quality assurance of the qualifications you will be seeking approval for.

You will also need to provide copies of the following policies and procedures, Equality and Diversity, Malpractice and Maladministration, Learner Appeals, Complaints, Staff Induction and CPD, Learner registration and certification – including details of how you confirm the identity of learners, Learner Induction, Conflict of interest, Internal Quality Assurance and Any third-party agreements (if applicable.)
