Today in Dubai – Focus Awards and REPs UAE Agree International Health and Fitness Partnership
Dubai, UAE – 23 August 2021 – This morning in the glorious climate of Dubai, a pioneering meeting of minds took place between Joshua Cole, CEO of Focus Awards and Catherine Hanson Farid, REPs UAE Director of Operations to agree an international collaboration.
Mr. Cole was in Dubai to visit Focus Awards’ Centres in the Middle East to ensure they feel supported in these challenging times and are truly a part of Focus Awards’ success journey. Focus Awards has several successful Approved Centres within the region and continues to grow its business here.
REPs United Arab Emirates is a Register initiated by the Dubai Sports Council to recognise and regulate fitness professionals and validate their qualifications.
The hugely positive meeting discussed current market conditions and issues within the sector and culminated in a formal Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations. Focus Awards and REPs UAE are looking forward to working more closely together.
Following the meeting, Mr. Cole said, “It’s a massive honour to be able to celebrate our success in the Region and agree to share relevant information between Focus Awards and REPs UAE that will assist both of us. With the recent global pandemic and the increasing tension nearby, we felt it was essential we visited our Centres here. We want them to feel proud of our association and, despite our geographical separation, know that we value their business. Innovation and support are what we’re all about.”
Catherine Hanson Farid added, “I was delighted when Joshua reached out to say that he was visiting Dubai and would like to meet. We have several Providers in the UAE now using Focus Awards as their Awarding Organisation, so it was important for me to have a clear understanding of their processes for International Providers. Joshua and I share a lot of the same values, which was reassuring. I feel that both of us are most concerned with the learning experience and outcome and more importantly that the learner is equipped and ready to begin their journey in the fitness industry. REPs UAE looks forward to working more closely with Focus Awards in the future.”
