Qualification Overview

The Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) is intended for learners already working, or preparing to work, in a paediatric setting. It is aimed at developing the knowledge and practical skills of learners having a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children who wish to become a paediatric first aider in the workplace. The Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) will provide learners with the first aid skills, knowledge, and understanding to enable them to provide effective fist aid care and management of life threatening conditions, illness, and injuries to children.

Qualification Structure

Learners must achieve 1 mandatory unit totalling 1 credit.

Learner entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification although it is a Focus Awards recommendation that learners hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate (EFAW). It is also advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or numeracy, or equivalent.
