The Focus Awards Level 2 Award in Understanding Dementia (RQF) is aimed at learners who wish to gain the understanding and knowledge of care for, and communication with, individuals with dementia. The qualification covers the causes of dementia, communication, and approaches to dementia care.

To successfully gain the Focus Awards Level 2 Award in Understanding Dementia (RQF) learners must complete all mandatory units achieving a total of 13 credits.
