Qualification Overview
Focus Awards Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Dementia Care (RQF) is aimed at learners who are currently working, or intend to work, in a health care setting.
The aim of the Focus Awards Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Dementia Care (RQF) is to provide learners with the understanding of dementia and the knowledge to be able to provide care for those with dementia.
Learners will develop knowledge of person-centre care, the influence of positive communication methods, issues relating to the use of medication for people with dementia, and the importance of providing appropriate activities.
Qualification Structure
In order to achieve the Focus Awards Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Dementia Care (RQF) a learner must complete 7 mandatory units achieving a total of 15 credits.
