Qualification Overview

The aim of the Focus Awards Level 4 Diploma in Strength and Conditioning is to provide learners with the skills and knowledge required to design, deliver, and support physical preparation programming aligned to the needs of athletes from a range of sporting activities. This is to develop the required knowledge and skills for analysing sporting demand and creating effective programmes to improve physical performance.

Qualification Structure

To successfully achieve the Focus Awards Level 4 Diploma in Strength and Conditioning (RQF), learners must complete 15 mandatory units.

Learner Entry Requirements

Learners are required to hold a Level 3 fitness-related qualification. Focus Awards does not set any other entry requirements, but additional criteria may be requested or specified by the centre.

Progression Routes

Learners seeking progress from this qualification can advance their skills further through the following:
  • Undergraduate Degree (BSc) in Strength and Conditioning or related field.
  • Level 5 HND Diploma in Sport and Exercise Sciences (RQF)
  • Further Accreditation by a Strength and Conditioning National Body (e.g.UKSCSA/NSCA)

Age Ranges

Entry is at the discretion of the centre. However, learners should be at least 18 to undertake this qualification.
